Get the medical attention you need, even on a Saturday

We recognize the importance of accessible healthcare, especially during weekends. As a result, our clinic is open on Saturdays, providing you with the convenience of seeing a doctor without having to visit emergency or after-hours services. While we acknowledge that this may not always be the most cost-effective option, we firmly believe it offers significant advantages for our patients.

Here’s why:

Familiar Environment: Our Saturday clinic ensures continuity of care. Patients can consult with a doctor in a familiar setting, where their medical history and notes are readily accessible. This familiarity fosters comfort and trust.
Comprehensive Services: Our doctors have access to your complete medical records, including recent tests, vaccinations, and radiology reports. This holistic approach allows for better-informed decisions and personalized care.
Booking Options: You can conveniently book appointments online or call our reception team at 9409 6200. While walk-ins are welcome, we recommend calling ahead to confirm our availability.
Saturday Fee Schedule: To cover the operational costs associated with Saturday hours, we have a specific fee schedule for these appointments. Please note that we do not bulk bill on Saturdays.
Immediate Rebates: If your Medicare details are up to date, our reception team can process your rebate promptly.
We remain committed to providing quality service and ensuring your well-being.

As the new school year approaches, it's essential to ensure your child's health is a top priority. Preparing for the school year is more than just new backpacks and school supplies—it's also about making sure your child's health needs are addressed. Here's a handy back-to-school list to help you prepare.

Prescriptions: Allergy Pens, Asthma Inhalers, and Other Medication

Nobody wants their child to be caught off guard with a sudden health issue while at school. It is vital to make sure that all necessary prescriptions, such as allergy pens, asthma inhalers, and other medication, are up-to-date and ready for the new school year. Don't forget to make an appointment with your child's GP so they can provide the necessary prescriptions and ensure your child is set for the start of the year.

New Action Plans or Updating an Existing One

Children's health needs can change over time, so it's crucial to review and update your child's health action plan before the start of the school year. This could include changes in prescription medication, dietary needs, or activity modifications. A clear, updated action plan will give you peace of mind and help school staff take care of your child's health needs appropriately.

Referrals: Pediatrician, Dietitian, Psychologist, Ophthalmologist, and Immunologist

If your child has specific health needs, you may also need to arrange referrals to various specialists. This could include a pediatrician for overall health management, a dietitian for nutritional advice, a psychologist for mental health support, an ophthalmologist for eye health, and an immunologist for allergies and immune system care. Having these referrals ready ahead of time can ensure your child receives continuous care throughout the school year.

To summarize, the back-to-school period is a perfect time to review and update your child's health care needs. By ensuring your child has the necessary prescriptions, a comprehensive action plan, and referrals to relevant health professionals, you can help them have a safe, healthy, and successful school year.

Healthy Heart Check

Heart disease is easily one of the top causes of death in Australia. Many people may not know their risk of developing  heart disease, especially since you often cannot feel risk factors like high blood pressure and cholesterol.

Other things which may require monitoring could be a heart healthy diet, you can ask about the various foods that would be beneficial for you when you go in for your healthy heart check.  Maintaining a healthy weight and being smoke free are also things  that will come up during your check.

You can book in with the reception team, please let them know that you would like to book in for a healthy heart check and they will be able to give you a rough indication of how much time you will need to spend at the practice on the day of your check.
