Healthy Heart Check
Heart disease is easily one of the top causes of death in Australia. Many people may not know their risk of developing heart disease, especially since you often cannot feel risk factors like high blood pressure and cholesterol.
Other things which may require monitoring could be a heart healthy diet, you can ask about the various foods that would be beneficial for you when you go in for your healthy heart check. Maintaining a healthy weight and being smoke free are also things that will come up during your check.
You can book in with the reception team, please let them know that you would like to book in for a healthy heart check and they will be able to give you a rough indication of how much time you will need to spend at the practice on the day of your check.
Osteoporosis Solutions to visit soon
On Monday the 24th & Tuesday the 25th Wangara Medical Centre will host its annual Bone Density Scans here at the clinic. We are happy to announce that the 2 day clinic is fully booked and we are very pleased with the uptake. Our patients are lucky to have such a service here.
Always remember to book in after a follow up consult with the GP for the result. Your bones will thank you.
Christmas is coming
With Christmas just around the corner we thought it would be a good idea to let you all know that you should book in to see a doctor if you require any scripts, referrals or letters. We will be closed from Saturday 24th December 2022 and re-opening on Tuesday 3rd of January 2023.
We wish all our patients and their families a lovely festive end of the year and let us hope that 2023 will be a much safer, happier and better year for us all.
